This is super embarrassing, but...can someone explain WikiLeaks controversy to me, please? I've had my head buried in the proverbial sand -- the pile of papers on my desk, final exams yet to be written, conferences with desperate students finally realizing they are walking a fine line between passing and failing -- and so haven't seen, heard, or read anything remotely resembling news these past few weeks. Now, the WikiLeaks business has unfolded so far that, as someone who is late to the party and has missed all the back story, it's hard to follow the news. I remember that a few months ago some secret documents were released about Afghanistan and people got pissed. I assume that more has transpired since then, but...what?
